I've started a thread about having another O&P Open in early April, this time in London. The O&P Open in Manchester last weekend worked out very well!

Saturday's first O&P Open

We had the
first O&P Open on Saturday for people interested in D/s-M/s-O&P relationships, and it turned out to be a great afternoon and evening. In all, 21 people were there for the round-table discussion part, and 15 for the dinner afterwards....

More on the O&P Open meeting on 6th March

Today I updated the thread about the O&P meeting in Manchester on the 6th of March, with a photograph to help find the venue and some directions. Belasarius has now also started a thread with suggestions for discussion topics for the open round table part of the afternoon. Finally mia has begun a thread about names for this type of meeting: not just a munch but not as formal sounding as "meeting" :)

IE and O&P

I started writing about Internal Enslavement ("IE") in 1999, first calling it "Internal Slave Development" and then adopting the more accurate "Internal Enslavement" name in August of 2000. Now that most of my writing efforts are going into O&P (Ownership & Possession), this is a good time to clarify how IE fits into this new framework....

Bridgewood in January

I had three trips this month, and managed to get a lot further with the North Ride (ie track) that I've been clearing. One or two more days and the full length will be open to the sky. Once this is done people will be able to go for circular walks around at least that part of the site without having to fight their way through the dense undergrowth which comes back in spring. ...

Suppliers page

Tonight I started a page listing BDSM suppliers that I've made purchases from over the years and are prepared to recommend. This really is a case of "put your money where your mouth is", rather than the comprehensive lists of vendors you see on sites like IC or TSR.

Jose Jimenez Aranda's slave girl

I've had a copy of Jose Jimenez Aranda's
painting of a naked slave girl (sat on a rug surrounded by the feet of buyers) on my site since about 2003. I made a stab at the inscription she bears, and got as far as "Rose" ("Rhodon") and "18 (years)" ("IH"), but I've now got an official version....

Transferability thread on IC

New thread on the O&P group on IC: "I think it's taken for granted that the best things about dominants and owners tend to be transferable from one relationship to another: skills, experience, self-awareness and self-acceptance of one's desires and right to receive service etc. However, what about the submissives' side of things?"

"The Curious Human Phenomenon" by Peter Masters

A couple of years ago I
reviewed
Peter Masters' previous title, "The Control Book", and
"The
Curious Human Phenomenon" is very much in the same
vein. It doesn't try to teach you BDSM techniques, but
instead tries to explain some of the reasons behind elements
of BDSM. Masters summarises this by saying BDSM has an
"abundance of 'how'" but a "scarcity of 'why'"....

O&P Wiki

The Wiki on TSR acquired many good articles about D/s and M/s subjects in 2007 and 2008, but had only a handful of updates during 2009. It's now been rebranded as the O&P Wiki to give it more focus, and it
appears on the O&P website itself now too. In the last week,
I've updated a great many of the articles to make it more consistent, and include more O&P topics and links to O&P blog posts.

Those in between stages

One of the things that's attractive about O&P relationships is the clarity about where you stand and who's in charge.
I've started a thread on the O&P group on IC asking about
dealing with the transitions involved in moving from meeting as equals all the way to the dominant being in possession of the submissive. A lot of these stages are questions of consent: fundamentally, the sub consenting to allow the dom to do XYZ whenever they want, from then on....

Training - not just learning their preferences?

The word "training" is used in different ways in O&P relationships (or M/s, D/s etc): I think there's a divide between "training someone up", as an apprentice carpenter might be trained up and then qualify; and ongoing training, as sportsmen talk about when they've been ill and not able to "keep up with their training"....
