lili and I were in San Francisco last week (which partly explains the lack of a proper Weekly Events List post.) Apart from a lot of the touristy things (cable cars, Golden Gate bridge, Fisherman's Wharf) we managed to take in some of the BDSM sights too.

Shopping wise, the highlight was Mr S / Madame S, which are comparable to Fettered Pleasures or the new Fetters showroom for ironwork and bondage, but have more of other BDSM items too. I hadn't been to Madame S before, and they have some good corsets (including some embroidered silks ones that lili took a shine to.) I relieved them of one piece of ironmongery (a set of double iron stocks) from Madame S - which stock heavy bondage items in women's sizes! Bravo!

lili also lusted after some of the corsets in Stormy Leather, including a very nice leather one. Decisions, decisions.

On Wednesday, we went to the official return of SF's longest running club, Bondage-a-go-go, to it's old venue, The Trocadero. Black tie for me, and black corset / stockings for lili. This was a rare opportunity for a fetish slacker like me to feel overdressed at a BDSM/Fetish event! About 10% of people were wearing some thing genuinely fetishy, most just had some item of leather (including just a leather jacket.) The club made a point of moving to a dress code ("all black") last year, and so there were no blue jeans in sight any more...

BAGG is primarily fetish/dance, with a stage for demos and a glass-walled dungeon which is VIP/invitation only (public players, take note.)

However, the demo was very good: local celebrity Midori performing genuinely impressive feats of rope bondage and suspension.
