The Prestige

I was impressed enough by Pan's Labyrinth last Saturday, but it didn't prepare me for The Prestige, set in the world of 19th century stage magic. It's hard to write a review without including spoilers, so I'll just say go and see it in a cinema before its run finishes!

As well as its twists and turns, inspired casting (eg David Bowie as the real-life Nikola Tesla), it includes another excellent performance by Michael Caine, who was also in this autumn's third film treat, "Children of Men".
