York Castle Museum

The York Castle Museum is located in the old prison buildings next to Clifford's Tower ("York Castle".) As well as original cells, it features reconstructed Victorian streets (including police station rooms) and some antique restraints.

Prison Cells: Reconstructed and original cells in the museum.
Irons: Antique restraints and a branding iron.

Not shown in the photos here are a reconstructed padded cell, the original exercise yard and some smaller cells in the Debtors' Prison.
