27 Jul 09	Whipping-frame, picnic tables, and camp fire Camp-fire of seasoned hazel logs in the Glade, near the picnic tables and a tripod made of freshly cut hazel poles.

13 Jul 09	Stream A secluded spot on the bank of a boundary stream, under a sycamore tree. A good place to send someone down to draw water, as the stream never dries out even in high summer.

13 Jul 09	The Five Fingered Hand tree This is an ash tree on the north boundary, covered in ivy and shaped like a left hand with a thumb (on the left) and five fingers. In the picture, three of the fingers are clumped together just to the right of the "thumb". The palm forms a platform about five feet off the ground, and the fingers make it a good climbing tree as they lean over the stream.

7 Jun 09	Surfaced stretch of the Middle Ride As you can see, I've limited lines of sight with gentle curves in the rides. This looks nicer, it's more private, and it's better for woodland wildlife that dislikes big open spaces.
7 Jun 09	Digger bucket and tree stump regrowing The bucket from a JCB during the clearing and surfacing of the parking / hard standing area. To the right you can see one of the tree stumps, right on the corner, and it's already started regrowing. In a couple of years time it will be a bush, and then a small tree with several trunks.
