It's firmly planted in the torture porn tradition of Hostel I/II, with the ingredients of violence, captivity, nudity, and kidnapping served up in a dish that's quite BDSM. Tonight I've posted the listings for the next The Warehouse event at Exodus in Birmingham on Informed Consent and on FetLife. I've also updated www.thewarehouse.org.uk to include the date, and it will be a good way of closing the Open Air season which finishes in October.

I've updated the Open Air BDSM events list a couple of times this week, following the sad news that TrainerBryan is stepping down from running the North Downs Pony Club events in Kent for health reasons. The good news today is that SirIan is taking over the reins with the aim of going ahead with all the published dates.

11 Mar 12 4 weeks to The Warehouse

With just under four weeks to The Warehouse on Saturday 7th April, I've added a provisional timetable on the event thread on IC, with a request for comments and more ideas. It now includes sprint and distance pony cart races, plus a show/parade of puppies, kittens, and ponies.

18 Feb 12 The old ball and chain

The ball and chain is an iconic tool of captivity, and I've been making a couple as you can see in the picture, mainly for use at Bridgewood. The shackles are Darby style leg cuffs from KUB, but I've adapted the iron balls from off-the-shelf iron gate components. The balls are 5 inches in diameter and weigh about 7kg each which is something mia can carry for a bit but not wander around where she feels like with (we felt the weight of them in the shop), and cost less than £10 each. Walkers are frames that allow horses to exercise by themselves in a circle. For horse owners, they reduce the amount of supervision required, and like a lot of equestrian equipment the idea can be adapted to BDSM. Horses spend their whole lives in some form of bondage or captivity if you think about it

You do see horse walkers appear in pony play contexts now and then: there was one at the old Deferre woodland in Devon, and a couple of Insex scenes had them made out of some of PD's scaffolding.
