This weekend I went to Club Lash with lili and popi on Friday, and the three of us dropped into the Manchester Munch for a few minutes on Saturday. We've not been to any scene events in Manchester since the autumn, and the effects of the smoking ban are really sinking in with no "smoke hangover" the next morning for a non-smoker like me. The Slave Register is planning a meeting for people in or seeking ownership relationships, at a venue in central London on Saturday the 9th of June, from 5pm onwards. 27 Aug 06 The Pride and the Prejudice

Yesterday, lili, popi and I went to watch the annual Pride Parade through the centre of Manchester. Every year it seems to get bigger and thousands of people turn out to see it. Afterwards we went to see "The Notorious Bettie Page". Both parade and film turned out to involve themes of the celebration of sexual minorities, and other people's attempts to suppress them. We had a great time at Club Lash on Friday, and I was very impressed with Memoirs of a Geisha today - "sumptuous" etc. It's also come at a very interesting time, since thinking about "Household D/s" has brought non-Western models of service, training and non-traditional households to the fore.
