31 Aug 11   Wood burning stove
Earlier this month I installed this wood-burning stove in the Log Cabin at Bridgewood. It will help now we're getting later in the open air season, especially to heat the cabin in the evening, and this weekend mia boiled a kettle for tea, and then later on cooked a lovely risotto on it! [more...]
27 Aug 11   New York trip
Earlier this month mia and I had a trip to the US, with a week in New York followed by the GLLA weekend conference event in Indianapolis. I'm going to post later about GLLA so I can do the New York part first. We did a mixture of sight seeing, shopping (including BDSM shopping) and one BDSM event. [more...]
22 Aug 11   Back from New York and GLLA trip
mia and I are back today from a week in New York followed by the GLLA weekend in Indianapolis. I'm going to blog about the highlights later in the week, but as well as touristy things we managed a TES meeting and various BDSM shops in New York, and some really good workshops at GLLA.
12 Aug 11   August Bridgewood event day
This month's event day turned out well despite the forecast. We managed to dodge the rain during Saturday daytime, so we only had it overnight on Friday and Sunday morning. I've blogged already about the new suspension frame and whipping post, and we had several net suspensions happening during the weekend. The Holding Pen was also back in service now the fallen branch is cleared away. [more...]
31 Jul 11   Suspension frame and whipping post
mia and I spent the weekend at Bridgewood, preparing for the August event day next weekend. I mowed the grassed rides and mia pulled the weeds out of the edge of the Holding Pen which is back in action after a big fallen branch stopped us using it. Then we tested a couple of new pieces of equipment I've made for the Glade. [more...]
3 Jul 11   July's Bridgewood Event Day
We had another great event day at Bridgewood yesterday. We had solidly good weather for both days of the weekend, and the usual mixture of socialising and people going off to play in the woods. One of the best things about these days is the way everyone contributes to the atmosphere (and often to the food spread across the tables!) This month people were using the space in the Glade to show off everything from devil sticks and firebreathing to single-tails and rope work. [more...]
27 Jun 11   Arch bench at Bridgewood
Last week I posted about the Arch Bench I've been building for Bridgewood and today (Sunday), I installed it as you can see in the picture. [more...]
23 Jun 11   Pony blogs round-up!
I've been thinking more about pony play again recently and reading some of the great blogs that are out there. I'm going to share a few links in this post, and I'd be grateful for any more that you know of. [more...]
17 Jun 11   Arch bench
This week I've been in the process of turning the upper half of this hammock frame from B&Q into a sort of arched spanking bench by turning it upside down (without the bottom legs) and bolting wooden slats across. The idea is to leave it outdoors at Bridgewood, probably with a tarpaulin across it when not in use. I'm bolting it to tanalised sleepers lengthways on the ground to stop it spreading out, and wooden supports under the wider slat at the top to add to its rigidity. [more...]
8 Jun 11   Last weekend's Bridgewood event day
We had another good event day on Saturday, and mia and I stayed over again. The weather was good at first, but turned into cloud and some rain so we were glad of the shelter during the day. I also managed to try out this year's model of the Glider pony cart with mia, and she managed to negotiate the whole of the Middle and North Rides - over half a kilometre.
