Weekend in London

mia and I have just been on a long weekend in London, including the O&P Open on Saturday, and Club Crimson's 1st Birthday Ball on the evening. We also visited some museums and galleries, and BDSM shops.

The O&P Open had 27 people there during the afternoon, and there was a good range of discussion prompted by several topics suggested beforehand, including limits vs limitations, submissives voting in elections, and the meaning of collars. I hope to organise another O&P Open in the near future, probably back in Manchester.

In the evening, we went to Crimson for the first time, which has now been running for a year but is going to be less regular than monthly in future. It's very much play orientated, with equipment in all the spaces but plenty of room around each item.

During the rest of weekend we went to the National Portrait, National, and Tate galleries, plus the British and Maritime Museums (including the Greenwich Meridian), and that walk down from the Bloomsbury through Trafalgar Square past Downing St to Parliament Square.

As far as shops go, Fettered Pleasures, Regulation, What Katie Did, Master U, and Fairygothmother. I'd not been to Master U before, although I have one of their floggers bought from RoB in Manchester years ago. It has the most striking decoration of the lot, with a table of products and random objects laid out like a sideboard from a horror film :)
