I thought I'd post some pictures of some recent acquisitions: some cuff locks, a great flogger by Steve Vakesh, and a headcage which I've subsequently modified.

The flogger was a gift from Steve Vakesh who was making and selling floggers long before many of us stumbled into the scene ourselves :) As well as having "TANOS" woven into the leather of the handle, it's got narrower falls than my other floggers, so is a good constrast, and is rather like a heavy cat with a lot more falls than usual.

The padlocks are Cuff Locks from Handcuff Warehouse who don't export outside the US (but will deliver to hotels!) They're unusual in taking a standard handcuff key, which makes key management much simpler, especially when I need to replace some of them in the future. Up to now, for this kind of work I've used 30mm brass Master Locks which are very similar in appearance but come in keyed-alike sets of four.

Finally a medium-sized headcage made by KUB in Pakistan but bought from Handcuff Warehouse again where it's discontinued and at a reduced price (in cheap-to-buy US dollars too.) The picture shows a baggage inspection notice from the US Transport Safety Agency, saying they'd opened my bag and had a nose about in it. I left it near the top of the contents, wrapped only in clothes to make it easier to examine, as I guessed they would.

However, we did find that the design of the cage forced the mouth ring into the mouth, against the teeth. As an O-ring gag, this has the nice effect that it cannot be removed, but as metal-against-teeth it limits what else you can be doing.

As a result, I've cut back the flat mouth bar with the O-ring to just leave two metal tags, and drilled holes in them to allow alternative mouth bars to be used. So far, I've made a simple flat bar which is more generous and doesn't interfere with the mouth at all. More gags, bars, tubes, plugs, Scolds' Bridles etc to follow :)
